    Unable to login to ML user interface when using local authentication in ML

    Problem Symptoms:
    ?€¢ In the pds_server.log:
    ======
    [metalib_x_server::handle_login] Error: Cannot make connection to server host:port
    ======

    Cause:
    The connection could not be established to the Metalib host since it is invalid or there is a firewall blocking.

    Resolution:
    Check the <hostname> and <port> defined in the relevant /exlibris/metalib/mX_Y/pds/conf_table/tab_service.inst file under the ?€˜params?€™ section.

    Run: telnet <hostname> <port>
    And check that the connection can be established.
    If it doesn?€™t ?€“ check the validity of that hostname or check the firewall setting with that spesific hostname and port.
