    Can author search from record's details tab be "contains" instead of "exact"?

    Question

    Advanced Search: When clicking on author's link in details tab, the search is being done as "exact" search. Can this be configured and be changed to a "contains" search?

    Answer

    Yes.

    Edit the View using Views Wizard in the Back Office.

    Edit the Basic Search Tile on the Home Page.

    Scroll down to the section titled "Search Target Fields of Basic Search tile (Combo)"

    When Precision Operator is enabled (checked), Author/Creator link will be executed as 'exact' search.

    (when using old UI, URL of Author/Creator link will include '&vl(1UIStartWith0)=exact' )

     

    When Precision Operator is disabled (unchecked), Author/Creator link will be executed as 'contains' search.
