Question

How to display the source record number in Primo search results?

How to make the source (Aleph, Voyager, Alma, etc.) record number appear in the Primo search results.

Answer

  1. Go to the Primo.Show-PNX-IDs-Bookmarklet GitHub repository.
    1. Click on the bookmark javascript file
    2. Click the Raw button
    3. Copy the displayed JavaScript
  2. Create a new bookmark
    1. Set name to something meaningful (e.g. Primo brief list record ids or Show RecordID)
    2. Set the Location/URL to the JavaScript copied in step 1.3
  3. Do a search Primo, displaying the Brief Results
  4. Click on the bookmark created in step 2
  5. Note the Primo PNX RecordID displayed above each result
  6. Repeat steps 4 through 5 for each new search
