    Question
What is wrong with Hyper Article en Ligne (HAL)  and how will it be fixed?

    Answer

Many customers have expressed concern regarding the performance of Hyper Article en Ligne (HAL) in the Primo Central Index.

    There are two known issues:

    • Missing content – Primo Central is showing ~1.4M records when based on the HAL platform, one would expect ~1.9M records.
    • False Availability – Records which do not lead to Full Text are tagged as "Full Text: Open Access".

The Operations team is actively working to address both issues:

    • The missing content will be ingested
    • The existing mixed collection will be reconfigured as Link Resolver to prevent false availability.  At the same time, a new collection of exclusively Open Access content will be added to Primo Central.

The issues are slated to be resolved by the end of 2019.
