What Should be Entered as Search Type Topology in Installation Request Form

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Primo
    • Product Version: 2

    Description:
The customer has a general question concerning the Search Topology Type in the installation request form. They want to know what is the difference concerning the search topology type nSlices and nAgents. In which case should nAgents be used?

    Resolution:
    1. nAgents is the known N+1 machines topology. There is no problem with this topology.
    2. nSlices is N+1 Slices. It is usually used when there is only one server for the FE+SE. It allows zero down when index is swapping. The “N” in this case is usually 1.
Questions about recommended Primo topology should be addressed to the Sizing Manager or the Primo Team, not to Installation Team
