    Introduction

The NDE UI allows signed-in users to save found records for subsequent sessions. After saving a record, the User Area > Saved Records tab enables users to perform the following operations on saved records: view, delete, export, and label. Labels enable you to group and manage similar records.

Multiple records can also be saved in bulk, and, optionally, they can be labeled in the process.

For guest users, records are saved in local memory and are not retained between browser sessions.

    Saving an Individual Record

Users can save a record from the Brief Results and the Full Display pages with the NDE UI.

    To save a record:
    1. Perform a search.

    2. Select the Save Record icon NDE_SaveRecord_Icon.png next to the item you want to save from the brief results or the record's full display.

After being saved, the icon changes to the Saved Record icon NDE_SavedRecord_Icon.png, and the item is added to the User Area > Saved Records tab.

You must sign in to save items for future sessions.

    Saving Records in Bulk

Users can select multiple items on the Brief Results page to save them in bulk to the User Area > Saved Records tab. When saving items in bulk, you can choose to attach one or more labels to them, as well.

    To save records in bulk:
    1. Perform a search.

    2. You can select records individually by selecting their check boxes (#2 in the illustration below) or all records on the page by selecting the check box above the results list (#1).

    3. Select the Save Record icon NDE_SaveRecord_Icon.png above the results list (#3). A menu opens (#4).

    4. Select one of the menu options, as follows:

      • Add label and save to saved records – To attach one or more labels to all of the selected records, and then add the records to the list of Saved Records, select this option. A list of existing labels opens.

List of labels with the "Search or add new label" field at the top.

Select the desired labels, and/or begin typing in the Search or add new label field. You can use this field to either find existing labels or create a new label. As you type, the list of existing labels is filtered so that only those labels that contain the sequence of characters you type are displayed. Select additional labels from the filtered list, as required.

        • To add the sequence of characters you typed as an additional label, and attach it to the records along with any selected existing labels, select Create new.
        • To just attach the existing labels you selected to the records, select Apply.
      • Add to saved records – To add the selected records to the Saved Records without attaching any labels to them, select this option.

The records are added to the Saved Records, and the message, Items added to your Saved Records appears.
