Primo Analytics Upgrade to OAS (Oracle Analytics Server)

    Released: August 11, 2020

    Dear colleagues,

The Primo Analytics upgrade to OAS (Oracle Analytics Server) is coming soon and the details below highlight how this impacts Primo (Back Office) customers.

As many in the Ex Libris community are aware, the original plan was to upgrade to OBI 12. However, Oracle has since released OAS (Oracle Analytics Server) to replace the OBI 12.

Upgrading from the current OBI 11 to OAS will be done by region. The rollout will include a "freeze" stage, where all institutional reports are migrated over to OAS, which will then be followed by a "Go Live" date when all institutions will start accessing OAS from within their Primo Back Office.

The following table details the regional OAS rollout plan:

Data Center: Freeze Start Date: OAS Go-Live Date:

    Canada

    06-Sep-20

    13-Sep-20

    Europe

    11-Oct-20

    18-Oct-20

     APAC

    08-Nov-20

    15-Nov-20

    North America

    15-Nov-20

    22-Nov-20

Additional OAS rollout details Primo, including a Q&A section, can be found under the Primo OAS (Oracle Analytics Server) Rollout.

This page also includes an important section on migrating reports in your "My Folders" folder (if you have such reports).

If you use Primo VE, the OAS rollout is being rolled out as part of the Ex Libris higher-education platform rollout and more information is available through the Primo VE August 2020 release notes.
