    Question

Why does the EDI invoice have a different date to the PDF invoice?

    Answer

The Rialto EDI invoices contain two dates, the tax point of the invoice (i.e. the date the invoice was raised) and the date of transmission.

You can observe this in the two DTM segments in the invoice files: the DTM+131 is the invoice date, and the DTM+137 is the transmission date.

Alma uses the latter, so if there is ever an unexpected delay or if the invoice needed to be resent for any reason, the dates will not match.

This is a rare occurrence, but if you have any questions, please contact us via live chat or submit a support ticket here.
