    How do I sign up for the Summon Clients mailing list?

    Active Summon subscribers have access to the Summon Clients Mailing list. The listserv provides:
    • New enhancement and release information
    • New content and databases in the Summon Index
    • Connection with fellow Summon users including
    Follow the instructions below to join the general Summon listserv and/or the API Developers listserv.

    Summon Clients Mailing List

    Summon clients collaborate and share ideas using the mailing lists. In addition, announcements and best practices are sent to clients the mailing list subscribers.
    To join the Summon mailing list, send an email to with "Subscribe" in the subject line.
    To post to the mailing list, send an email to
    • Posting to the listserv can also be done by emailing (same email address except for the additional word "request") however note that emails sent to this address go to our Summon product manager who must manually approve such emails for distribution.

    To unsubscribe from the Summon mailing list, send an empty email to .
    To view an archive of posting to the Summon mailing list:
    1. Go to Summon Mailing List Service.
    2. Log in using the email / Summon Mailing List password fields in the top right area of the screen.
      1. If you have forgotten your password, use the Lost Password? link in the top left area of the screen.
      2. If you have not yet created your email/password, use the First Login? link in the top left area of the screen.
    3. If you do not see the below menu on the left side of the screen, click instead on SummonClients (on the left side of the screen) and then the below menu should display.
    4. Click Archive on the left side menu:

    API Developers List

    The Summon API Developers mailing list is an additional resource for those who wish to collaborate and share API development experiences.
    Using this mailing list, you will be able to communicate with your colleagues at other institutions that are developing with the Summon API. We will also use this channel to communicate any news in regards to the Summon API.
