Ulrich's Serials Analysis System: How ISSN are Counted

    • Product: Ulrichs

Why are the Your List counts different in the Summary View and the List Details View?

In every Ulrich's Serials Analysis System module except Aggregator Comparison Reports (comparing one aggregator database to another), the Your List counts displayed in reports may result in slightly different numbers between the Summary View and the List Details view.
This is because the System matches on your uploaded ISSN and creates a unique row in reports for every matched ISSN. (The ISSN in the Aggregator Comparison Reports come from Ulrich's and from 360 KB and are not uploaded for matching.)
Because there may be multiple ISSN for the same title, the System counts and displays the number of ISSN in the Summary View's "Your Library" column.
The Ulrich's Universe and Core lists are based on titles, and multiple ISSN per title are collapsed into one entry. Thus, a list with eight ISSN, representing six titles, might be subtracted from a list of those six titles, resulting in a difference of minus two (-2).
