    Incorrect and missing information in Sys Admin Guide

    Several corrections and updates are needed to various sections of the Verde System Administrator Guide:

    Verde System Administrator Guide - Overview

    1) Section 4, Verde Tasks contains incorrect and missing information. It should be updated as follows:

    Remove old job
    Every 60 minutes
    (not daily)

    Reindex failures
    (not hourly)

    The following tasks should be added to the table:

    E-Product activation
    Flags Verde e-products as candidates for update or activation/deactivation in SFX.

    E-Product availability
    Flags Verde e-products with Availability status "down" for SFX Menu

    Task files output cleanup
    Deletes task log files older than a certain date set by customer.

    Client logs cleanup
    Deletes log files older than a certain date from the client directory

    Job reloader
    Every 60 seconds
    Checks if there are any new jobs pending

    Keep remote brokers alive
    Every 2 minutes
    Task manager maintenance job

    Collect database statistics
    Processes Oracle internal statistics

    Send indexing process message
    Every 10 minutes
    Internal indexing maintenance job

    2) The content in section 7.1 should actually appear under section 5, Verde Configuration Files.

    3) In section 5 (currently appearing under 7.1) the file is out of date and needs to be updated

    4) Section 6, Verde Log Files is blank

    5) Section 7, License is blank


    Verde System Administrator Guide - Oracle

    6) Section 1.2.1 contains information about accessing Verde's Oracle tables using SQLPlus. Outside of this document, our customers are informed that they are forbidden from accessing Oracle in this way due to the embedded Oracle license that Verde contains. Has that policy changed? If not, this information should be removed from the document.

    7) Not posted on the Doc Portal

    General notes

    8) the util-v and util-s functions are not documented at all.
