KB wizard doesn't take into account table space autoextent

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Verde
    • Product Version: 2

    Description:
KB wizard doesn't take into account table space autoextent. It counts the existing table space in all dbf files and calculates how much table space is needed to complete KB update.
If table space is missing, new dbf files of 2000MB are created by the wizard. If autoextent is active, the new dbf files are not necessary and they consume disk space with no good reason.

The wizard should be improved to take this into account.

KB wizard doesn't take into account table space autoextent. It counts the
existing table space in all dbf files and calculates how much table space is needed to complete KB update.
If table space is missing, new dbf files of 2000MB are created by the wizard, unless autoextent feature makes it possible to add table space when needed up to 30GB for each file.[7/22/2010 2:27:56 PM Tzippy Levy]
