Insight consolidates recorded data from both the native apps and the web app activity to present an overview of user behavior.

The data is compiled on a weekly basis and can be viewed across all App Profiles, or on a Profile by Profile basis. The data is aggregated into a Dashboard view or can be broken down into more functional areas using the tabbed view. The number of Hits equates to the number of clicks.

Date Range - the date range is for the current week, by default and then retains the range from the last time the module was accessed.
The graphs may take a few moments to rationalise as the data is rendered, especially for the longer date ranges.
Use the scrolling arrows to move the date back or forward:

Or click the date range to obtain a list of options. Single clicking any of the options immediately generates the graphs for the relevant dates:

Once an option has been selected, it is highlighted in red when the list is accessed again:
    Selected Date Range option

The Up until… and After… options generate a date picker so that a specific date can be selected. Highlight the date on the date picker and click the Done button to generate the graphs:

The Custom Range option displays two date pickers to define the start and end date of the custom range:

Click the Done button to generate the graphs.
The Last Updated entry below the tabs on the left hand side indicates the last time the raw data was uploaded.
Profile - the analytics windows all display the data across all App Profiles by default. Use the drop-down list to view data for a single App Profile:
    App Profile selection

The Graphs present an interactive view. Hovering over one of the graph entries allows a breakdown of the specific data presented:

    See More Link

Clicking the See More link against the charts, where it is available, opens the appropriate tab view. Clicking the link against the Platform Usage graph, for example:
    Platform Usage See More link
    Platform Usage See More link
takes the administrator to the Device Usage tab:

    Device Usage tab

    Registrations Tab

The view registrations link on the Registrations tab enables the administrator to view all registered users of the app from within the Insight Analytics module.

Clicking the link displays details of registered users and the date and time of their registration:

The Download CSV button in the top right hand corner of the screen allows the list to be downloaded into a CSV format.

    Menu Options Tab

The Menu Options tab displays a graph that covers all menu options, or tiles, for the app:

Clicking one of the menu options on the panel down the right hand side narrows the range of the graph to that particular menu option:
    Selecting an individual Menu Option

The graph display is correspondingly updated to only show the number of clicks, or hits, for that menu option for the specified date range and on a weekly basis:

As with the other graphs, hovering over one of the graph entries allows a breakdown of the specific data presented:

Return to all menu options by deselecting the specific menu option:

    Hits Tab

The Hits tab displays a graph identifying the number of hits, or clicks, for a menu option or a function by percentage for the specified date range:
    Hits tab
    Hits tab
Clicking one of the functions on the panel down the right hand side narrows the range of the graph to that particular function. The graph display is correspondingly updated to show only the number of hits for that function for the specified date range:

    Device Usage Tab

In the case of the Device Usage tab, clicking the segments of the Platform Usage graph opens a new sub-tab that gives a further breakdown of the type of devices accessing the app:
    Device Usage sub-tabs
    Device Usage sub-tabs
These extra tabs are removed when the user leaves the module.

    Device Translator

The graph displaying the Device Usage results uses the model identifier for iOS devices rather than the more widely recognised generation number (iPhone 7, etc).
iPhone model identifier on Device Usage results
iPhone model identifier on Device Usage results
The data is collected directly from the device and is the data supplied by the iOS platform. The table below lists the model identifier from the Insight Analytics graphs and supplies the corresponding generation version.
New devices and generations are released constantly, which makes it difficult to maintain a comprehensive in-built translator for iOS devices. The information in the table below has been taken from https://www.theiphonewiki.com/wiki/Models where the information is maintained and current.

Android devices are also rendered using a model ID. Once again, this is the information that is passed from the Android platform to Insight Analytics.
Android model identifier on Device Usage results

The model number can be used to search for the specific device on the following website http://www.gsmarena.com. The extensive range of products make it impossible for campusM to maintain a translator service for the devices.
