360 KB: HighWire Press Databases: Select Titles Will Be Removed -- May 6, 2019
What is happening to the databases HighWire Press and HighWire Press (Free Journals)?
ProQuest currently has title-level information for the BMJ journals from provider BMJ Publishing Group Ltd in the Highwire Press and HighWire Press (Free Journals databases) in the Knowledgebase. In order to facilitate accurate article-level linking for 360 Link, these journals will be removed from these databases. A separate 360 Link linker will be built to exclusively support the journals from BMJ.
In order to facilitate more accurate linking to the BMJ journals, all titles will be removed from HighWire Press (database code: RHI) and Highwire Press (Free Journals) (database code: RHF) in the KnowledgeBase on May 6, 2019. Libraries that currently subscribe to the database will continue to have access to this database and it's contents although the BMJ journals will no longer be included.
In order to track these journals and all future updates to the KnowledgeBase and 360 Link linkers, please subscribe to one or more of the following databases instead:
Old Database Name | Old Database Code | New Database Name | New Database Code |
HighWire Press | RHI | BMJ Journals | RMJ |
HighWire Press (Free Journals) | RHF | BMJ Open Access Journals | 9YT |
