360 KB: ACS Style Guide Online from American Chemical Society : Database Migration -- April 2021

What is happening to the database ACS Style Guide Online?

American Chemical Society has moved the title in Database ACS Style Guide Online to The ACS Guide to Scholarly Communication Database.

In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on the Knowledgebase collection policy), all titles will be removed from ACS Style Guide Online database and the database will be hidden in the Knowledgebase on April 10, 2021. The database will become a zero-titles database. (NOTE: The database code for this database is .QC). Therefore, we have created a new database in the Knowledgebase. The titles are now available in The ACS Guide to scholarly Communication
This change will take effect on April 10, 2021

    • Before April 10, 2021: ACS Style Guide Online
    • After 10 April 10, 2021: The ACS Guide to Scholarly Communication, database code: ACSAX

    Action you need to take:

    • Update the holdings in your Intota or Client Center profile by subscribing to the new database instead of the old database.  For information on how to update your profile, and considerations prior to removing the old database from your profile:
      • Intota users click here.
      • Client Center users click here.
    • If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds direct URLs or database specific information to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after April 10, 2021.
