    360 KB: SAGE Publications Databases: Titles Will Be Removed -- June 2017

    What is happening to the SAGE Publications databases?

    ProQuest currently has title-level information for the following databases from provider SAGE Publications in the Knowledgebase. The provider is no longer providing title lists for these yearly collections and has instead provided more authoritative complete title lists not dependent on yearly subscriptions. In addition, these databases contain URLs to their old platform that will soon stop redirecting.

    • SAGE Collections Plus Package 2007 (DBID: SPV)

    • SAGE Collections Plus Package 2008 (DBID: SPQ)

    • SAGE Collections Plus Package 2009 (DBID: SHG)

    • SAGE IMechE Collection with Archive (DBID: AAPFT)

    • SAGE IMechE Collection without Archive (DBID: ADQAE)

    • SAGE MLC Package (DBID: SFQ)


    The databases above from the provider SAGE Publications are no longer being updated. In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on our Knowledgebase collection policy), all titles will be removed from these databases and the databases will be hidden in the Knowledgebase on June 1. The databases will become zero-titles databases, and no future subscriptions will be possible.

     

    The replacement collections for these databases have already been created and are updated regularly in the Knowledgebase (with the exception of SAGE MLC Package which has no title list and no corresponding collection we can determine). Instead of the collections above, please subscribe to the corresponding collections below:

    • SAGE Collections Plus Package (DBID: 54M)

    • SAGE IMechE Collection (DBID: I6U)

    • SAGE IMechE Proceedings Archive (DBID: PRI)

    This means that this database (and its titles) will not be available to your patrons who use the E-Journal Portal or 360 Link, and you won't receive MARC updates for this database.

     

    If you subscribe to individual titles which are not a part of a specific SAGE collection, please follow them in one of these following A-Z databases from SAGE:

    • SAGE Complete A-Z List (DBID: SFC)
    • SAGE Complete A-Z List (1999-Present) (DBID: J8X)
    • SAGE Complete A-Z List (Through 1998) (DBID: Q1R)

     

    Actions you may need to take:

    • If you are a 360 Resource Manager, 360 Counter, or Intota client, you may need to make some changes to your account settings before June 1:
