360 KB: SwePub Free Access Databases: Will Be Removed -- February 2021

What is happening to the SwePub Free Access Databases?

ProQuest currently has collection level information for the SwePub Free Access collections from provider Swedish Publication Index in the Knowledgebase.

The Free Access content type collections listed below were purged. The remaining content type collections include both Restricted and Open Access content. The new streamlined mappings will help to eliminate confusion and duplication.

    DBID Database name
ATWOQ  SwePub Articles - Free Access
BDOZJ  SwePub Artistic - Free Access
BMMTB  SwePub Book - Free Access
BMTIU  SwePub Book Chapter - Free Access
BSRIL  SwePub Conference - Free Access
BYPBP  SwePub Editorial - Free Access
BZXDW  SwePub Other - Free Access
CCNUB  SwePub Patent - Free Access
CMVBL  SwePub Reports - Free Access
DATGH  SwePub Review - Free Access
DDDXC  SwePub Thesis - Free Access

The databases above are no longer being updated. In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on our Knowledgebase collection policy), the database will be hidden in the Knowledgebase on February 11, 2021. Libraries that currently subscribe to the database will continue to have access to this database. However if your library is not already subscribed, you will not be able to view this database in the Knowledgebase.

Customers have four possible activation paths and should opt for the one which best meets their library needs:

    • The full collection (including both Open Access and Restricted records) [ADTPV]
    • Only the Open Access records [D8T]
    • Individual Repository based collections [eg D95]
    • Individual Content type collections [eg AOWAS]

Customers who wish to display only Open Access content, should activate: SWEPUB Freely available online [D8T].  All other collections are mixed restricted and OA content.

Actions you may need to take:

    • If you are a 360 Resource Manager, 360 Counter, or Intota client, you may need to make some changes to your account settings before February 11, 2021:
      • Intota users click here.
      • Client Center users click here.
