360 KB: Springer Protocols (Springerprotocols.com) Database: Titles Will Be Removed -- July 2018

What is happening to the database Springer Protocols (Springerprotocols.com)?

ProQuest currently has title-level information for the Springer Protocols (Springerprotocols.com) database from provider Springer Nature in the Knowledgebase. The provider has announced that as of July 25th 2018, the SpringerProtocols.com platform will be deactivated: https://www.springernature.com/gp/librarians/landing/springer-protocols-closure. After that date, content and usage reports will no longer be available via www.springerprotocols.com.

In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on the Knowledgebase collection policy), all titles will be removed from Springer Protocols (Springerprotocols.com) database in the Knowledgebase on July 25th, 2018. The database will become a zero-titles database. (NOTE: The database code for this database is AKTCS.)

This means that this database (and its titles) will not be available to your patrons who use the E-Journal Portal or 360 Link, and you won't receive MARC updates for this database. However, the database will still be available for 360 Search, 360 Counter, 360 Resource Manager, Intota, and the Summon™ service.

Please note that these changes do not concern the Springer Protocols (code SPO) database in 360 Knowledgebase which will remain active and be updated on a monthly basis.

Actions you may need to take:

    • If you are a 360 Resource Manager, 360 Counter, or Intota client, you may need to make some changes to your account settings before July 25th, 2018.
      • Intota users click here.
      • Client Center users click here.
