360 KB: SciFinder Database Will Be Removed -- [July-2021]

What is happening to the database SciFinder?

The database SciFinder from the provider SciFinder is no longer being duplicaed. In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on our Knowledgebase collection policy), the database will be hidden in the Knowledgebase on 18th Aug 2021. Libraries that currently subscribe to the database will continue to have access to this database. However if your library is not already subscribed, you will not be able to view this database in the Knowledgebase. (NOTE: The database code for this database is DTZ and G1W). All the contant can be found on the SciFinder database (DB Code: E5H) that will not be removed as well.

This means that this database (and its titles) will not be available to your patrons who use the E-Journal Portal or 360 Link, and you won't receive MARC updates for this database. However, the database will still be available for 360 Search, 360 Counter, 360 Resource Manager, Intota, and the Summon™ service.

Actions you may need to take:

    • If you are a 360 Resource Manager, 360 Counter, or Intota client, you may need to make some changes to your account settings before 18th Aug 2021:
      • Intota users click here.
      • Client Center users click here.
