    Description

"Retrieve Catalog Records (ret-01)" for a range of ALL records only provides about 431.000 records out of 4.000.000 records. Why are not all records listed in the output file.

    Resolution

When running ret-01 the OWN field is checked and only those records are considered where the OWN field content is allowed for the appropriate staff user. From the help of ret-01:

"A check for the OWN field is performed on every record. The record's OWN field is checked against the logged-in user's OWN permission (Z66-USER-OWN-CHECK). If there is no match, the record will not be handled by the batch job."

The search with ret-01 should be started by a cataloger which has OWN field right "GLOBAL" set.
