A_ERROR: table znnn does not exist in xxxnn (where xxxnn is pw_library/usr_lib

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 21, 22, 23

    Problem Symptoms:
Upgrade Express: Install Customer Data, section "Updating znnn in ADM libraries":

A_ERROR: The table znnn [such as z106] does not exist in xxxnn  [where xxxnn is the pw_library and/or the usr_library].

    Cause:
pw_library or usr_library defined with DOC-TYPE-ADM=Y in tab100 -- when, in fact, they do *not* have any doc table.

    Resolution:
    1. Change all the DOC-TYPE?s in the xxxnn tab100 to "N" on the source instance:

      DOC-TYPE-BIB=N
      DOC-TYPE-HOL=N
      DOC-TYPE-ADM=N
      DOC-TYPE-AUT=N
      DOC-TYPE-ILL=N

    2. In the xxxnn prof_library:

If the xxxnn is the pw_library only, specify: "setenv file_list_type PW "
If the xxxnn is the usr_library only, specify: "setenv file_list_type USR "
If the xxxnn is the pw_library and usr_library only, specify: "setenv file_list_type NONE"

    3. Rerun the export from the source, the import, and Upgrade Express, step 3.

    Additional Information

If the library in question is an xxx50 library which, in addition to being the pw_library and/or usr_library is also an actual ADM library (performing Circ, Acq, etc.), it *should* have DOC-TYPE-ADM=Y.

NOTE:  If xxxnn library in the "A_ERROR: The table znnn does not exist in xxxnn"  message is *not* the usr_library or pw_library, then the above solution does not apply.  In that case, you should add the znnn table to the ./xxxnn/file_list.
