Adding COLLECTION=Y Parameter to X-AVAIL Routine

    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20, 21, 22, 23
    • Relevant for Installation Type: Dedicated-Direct, Direct, Local, Total Care

    Question
When the parameter COLLECTION=Y is added to the routine X-AVAIL in tab publish of library 01, is it necessary to run the publishing services in Aleph or just to run the Primo pipe without harvesting

    Answer
In order to have RTA (Real-Time Availabilty) include the 2nd, 3rd, etc., collection for this sublibrary, it is necessary only to add the COLLECTION=Y to the parameter X-AVAIL expand_doc_bib_avail line in the xxx01 tab_expand, and restart the www_server.

The correction of location info displaying in Primo which relies on the AVA fields of the harvested records would require republishing the records from Aleph. (But it's not clear that there is such info....)
