    Problem Symptoms:
    This message appeared in $httpd_root/logs/error_log

    [Mon Jun 12 16:19:02 2006] [error] server reached MaxClients setting, consider raising the MaxClients setting

    Users received a 503 server busy message. The same error was recorded on May 24, 2006.

    The relevant section of $httpd_root/conf/httpd.conf looks like this:

    Timeout 300
    KeepAlive On
    MaxKeepAliveRequests 100
    KeepAliveTimeout 15
    MinSpareServers 5
    MaxSpareServers 10
    StartServers 5
    MaxClients 150
    MaxRequestsPerChild 30

    Cause:
    Configuration

    Resolution:
    1. Increase MaxClients to 256 in
    $httpd_root/conf/httpd.conf

    2. Restart apache
