    Question

Are Aleph source programs supposed to be encrypted? Our server has many which are not.

    Answer

The Aleph source programs (those in the ./alephm/source directory) are, by default, delivered as encrypted.

There may be cases where the program is being analyzed by an Ex Libris staff person or where a new version has been delivered by a Service Pack that it is unencrypted, but these are exceptions.

If the server has large numbers of unencrypted programs and it's unclear why, contact Aleph Support.
