    Description:
A BATCH-UPD blocking message appears in the cataloging GUI when saving a record to the server. The according doc number also appears in the ue_01 and ue_08 logs.

    run_e_08.1163:68659:Update doc - 002037536
    run_e_08.1163:68707:Update doc - 002037536

Could it cause us problems, if we change the M to a T in the following line?

    aleph@aleph-bib(a20_1) XXX01> more check_doc_mandatory

    Cause:
    Normal system behavior

    Resolution:
When you have authority records and the bibliographic record is updated by the AUT record (e.g. preferred heading copied to BIB record) the error message might appear.

If you don't want this to happen, you could comment out the "UE_01 fix_doc_ref_1" line, and stop/start ue_01. In that case the update will not be done - NOT RECOMMENDED.

Assuming that you *do* want the bib update to occur, then we suggest that you change the "M" in column 3 of the 0221 line in the xxx01/tab/check_doc_mandatory to "T" -- and restart the pc_server.

The operator should then be able to override the error message.
