    Description:
A record in our system (bib # 133399) is locked in such a way that even with the MASTER user account in the GUI I cannot unlock it.
Any ideas how that may have happened and what I can do to fix and prevent it from happening again?

    Resolution:
Note: If you find there is a CAT field with "BATCH-UPD" as the Cataloger, then please consult the article  " locked by another user" messages .

The z60 table in the vir01 library contains locks on individual bib, item, etc., records. The doc number is part of the key, so it is possible in a case like this to go in with SQL and delete an individual lock -- or one can use util a/12 ("Drop lock tables") to clear all the locks.

Assuming that the clear_vir01 is run nightly, such a lock, in any case, should not persist from one day to another.
