Can't retrieve records by OCLC number after 9-digit switch-over

We have a browse search for OCLC number in our web OPAC which I need to adjust for the new 9-digit OCLC numbers. The bib library tab_filing has had the following (to prevent having to enter leading zeroes when searching for the number):
22 expand_num 8
We have changed this to:
22 expand_num 9
But we find that the existing numbers are not searchable. How can we fix this?
The OCLC numbers which have been indexed with "expand_num 8" in tab_filing will be searchable with "expand_num 9" only after they are re-indexed.
(Note: In order to make the tab_filing change take effect, you need to stop ue_01 (util e/2) and then restart it (util e/1.)
In order to re-index all of the records, you will need to run p_manage_05.
oclc, 9 digit
