Various KB records say to use p_file_03 to back up a table before updating it (via a batch job or SQL).

But the only GUI Service I see which refers to "file-03" is this "Export Database Tables". Is this really what I should be using?

If so, what values should I specify in the submission?

Resolution:
p_file_03 is a utility to back up files. It has an option to back up ALL files for the library. You could use this "ALL" option and ftp the output to a different Aleph instance -- that is "exporting".

But p_file_03 can also be used to "export" (back up) an individual table. That is what you need to do.

The following are the values you should specify:

Procedure to run: Go (the default)
Number of records: 999999999 (the default)
File format: Fixed (the default)
