Cannot add records to course; blanks in course number

Description:
When we log in to our course reading/reserves interface, we cannot add items to the document list via the Catalog button. We have a number of essays we want to add that are not in the catalog and that we want to be.

When we attempt to add them, it says the cataloging operation was successful, but then the item does not appear in the list.

For example, in course number 22440A (Greek Syntax and Exegesis), Test01 and Test02 were added but are not appearing in the docs list.

Resolution:
I find that these documents appear under course 22440 (rather than "22440 A"):

The inclusion of blanks in the course number can cause a problem. Please try to create the doc records for a course which does not contain blanks in the course number.
