    Description

    Certain report jobs run OK, but their output doesn't show up in the GUI Task Manager Batch Log when we click on 'View Printouts'.  And it isn't in the the Task Manager / File List.

    Resolution

    The files which appear in the Task Manager / File List are a subset of those in the library's $data_print directory.

    A $data_print file appears in the File List only if it has no target suffix (extension / print-ID) or a target suffix which the user is authorized for.

    Print ID's / extensions are discussed in the article " Task manager: Print Files with Extension or Print ID ".

    In this case, the (custom) reports were being given an extension of ",,,XXXXX" (where "XXXXX" was the user submitting the job), and the $alephe_scratch log of the job producing the report had a line like this:

       target=,,,XXXXX

    When this target suffix was removed (by renaming the $data_print file on the server with it excluded), the file appeared in the GUI File List.

    It's unclear just what was causing this extraneous suffix to appear.
