    Description

How to use the dot as a wild card for SRU query.

    Resolution

Searching for an Archival Resource Key (example: "ark:/48907/f3bv7dkr") in SRU can be done using dot to replace single characters.

    For example:
This query return Query Syntax error:
    http://<host>:5661/usm01pub?version=1.1&operation=searchRetrieve&query=(marc.024.a=ark:/48907/f3bv7dkr)

    This query works:
    http://<host>:5661/usm01pub?version=1.1&operation=searchRetrieve&query=(marc.024.a=ark.48907.f3bv7dkr)
