Encrypted Z308-VERIFICATION-TYPE

Question    
Why is the Z308_VERIFICATION_TYPE field in the Oracle Z308  (patron ID) table encrypted?

Answer    
The parameter ENCRYPT-Z308 in tab100 of ADM library is set to "Y".

Additional Information
If ENCRYPT-Z308 is changed to "N", this will affect the records created after the change. 
To change existing records, after setting ENCRYPT-Z308 to "N", export the z308 with p_file_03 and import with p_file_04.
