    Error "Failed to read reply (-7)" when accessing loan information from patron account

    Problem Symptoms:
    - GUI: Failed to read reply when accessing loan information from the patron account
    - PC Server log $LOGDIR/pc_server_699n.log has the following error:

    Execution error : file '/exlibris/aleph/a20_n/aleph/exe/get_error_line_m.gnt'
    error code: 114, pc=0,

    Cause:
    path to utf_files exceed the limit of allowed 100 characters

    Resolution:
    $alephe_root/aleph_start has the following definition:

    setenv aleph_utf $TMPDIR

    This results in a path /exlibris/aleph/a20_n/tmp/

    1. Correct to a shorter path, e.g. /tmp instead

    setenv aleph_utf /tmp

    Note: make sure, that the new directory has write permissions for user aleph

    2. Restart all application servers (PC server, WWW server etc.)
