    Description:
When I perform a "Check Record" in the Cataloging module against Bib record #5322497, there is an error message:

Error 6001 Not defined in file check_doc (eng)

which apparently applies to field 100, which contains sub-field $a of "Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Felix," and sub-field $b of "1809-1847."

What does the error number -- 6001 -- represent? (That entry is indeed missing from the SYS01/tab/check_doc.eng file.)

    Resolution:
This is a locally defined check on the record from check_doc_doc. The check causing the error message is this line:

    D XX 6001 2450# Y 100## N

indicating that the 100 cannot be present if there is a 245 with a first indicator of 0.

The reason you aren't seeing a descriptive message is because no entry was added to check_doc.eng explaining the error.
