Error message “Module ADAM is not licensed”

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Problem Symptoms:
When trying to click a link (field 856, Electronic location OR Digital object) in Opac error message ?€œModule ADAM is not licensed?€? appears and the link can?€™t be opened.

    Cause:
    Configuration or license problem

    Resolution:
If you don't have an ADAM license you are allowed to add up to 100 ADAM objects (Z403 records) for testing purposes. When more objects are added the error message "Module ADAM is not licensed" appears.

    1) When trying to open a link to a Digital object:
Check in the according library if you have z403 records created and in this case delete them by using UTIL A/17/1.

    2) When trying to open an Electronic location (field 856):

Check in xxx01/tab/edit_doc_999.eng which link type (column 10) you have assigned for field 856##. If it is "M" the system will take the configuration from xxx01/tab_buf_z403 and check the ADAM objects. Change the "Display Link Type" in edit_doc_999.eng to "S", then the problem should not occur anymore.
