Full view after upgrade - file not found.

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Description:

In version 18 of the Aleph software, when a user of the web opac clicks on the link to go to the full record of a title, it uses the full-set-head-nobor file if the user is not logged in, and the full-set-head-bor file if the user is logged in. Currently on our version 20 server, if the user is not logged in it uses the full-set-head-ill-nobor file and if the user is logged in it tries to load an unknown file it can't find on the server.

    Resolution:

You missed a manual adjustment when you upgraded to version 20.

The need to rename files is documented in the ALEPH VERSION 19.01 Upgrade Express 18.01 to 19.01 User Guide on pages 56 and 57. It is an intentional design change so that sites using ILL only have to maintain one set of files rather than two. For non-ILL sites the only change is in the filename.

Also remember that if you have any references specifically to full-set-head-bor or full-set-head-nobor in you www_f_eng or www_f_fre files you'll want to update those references as well.
