    Description:
We will be upgrading from v19 to v20 soon. In past upgrades we have lost all our History in the Services menu. Is there a way preserve the History under each Service?

    Resolution:
When you move from one Aleph version to another, it's not unusual for the submission parameters on the various servers to change, so the historical services may not be applicable. In fact, I can imagine that if the parameters are changed or re-organized, using those from an earlier version of the software might cause problems. I think it's for this reason that the history is removed with the new installation.

This history is kept on the PC under the files directory. So, for example, the history for ABC01 in Cataloging is kept (in XML format) in .\Catalog\files\ABC01\Services. If it's critical to have this record, you might want to save these files off, but be careful not to try to use them.
