Gaps in Z00_DOC_NUMBER's

Description:
There are 5 "skipped" DOC NUMBER'S in the ABC01 production Z00 table. Could these gaps create future problems? Can you provide any insight as to how/why they occurred?
Resolution:
Such a gap in doc numbers could be created by the physical deletion of the doc records. Assuming that that is not the case ...
When a new doc record is written, its key is obtained from the util g/2 LAST-DOC-NUMBER counter, which is incremented at the same time. The record is then written to the z00 table.
If the first step succeeds, but the second fails (because of a table-full condition or other Oracle error) and the record is re-sent to the server, it will be assigned a new key based on the current LAST-DOC-NUMBER and the key that it would have had will be skipped.
Regardless of the cause, this condition, by itself, is not a problem. (It would only be a problem if there were ADM, item, HOL, etc., records which are supposed to be linked to this doc and it is gone.)
