    Resolution:
    GERMAN LIBRARY STATISTICS
    =========================

    Customers that need to count their overdue letters for German Library Statistic (DBS) using UTIL S/3/1/2, should be aware that this tool requires the activation of the trigger Z1003 in the ADM library during the report period. Otherwise the overdue letters are not counted.

    You can check the activation of the trigger using UTIL A/17/6/4. If trigger Z1003 is not displayed, activate the trigger using UTIL A/17/6/1. Please check UTIL A/17/6/4 afterwards.

    Usually the trigger Z1003 should be activated by default. Nonetheless we received reports, that the trigger was missing after the upgrade to a new Aleph version. So it is important to check the existence of Z1003 after switching to a new Aleph version.

    If you have not activated Z1003 in the past and you need to count the number of overdue letters for "German Library Statistics" in Aleph 18 and up you may use the circulation log (Z309) instead of Z1003. You need to create an own custom SQL-query that counts all Z309-records with Z309_ACTION) = "16" (=Overdue letter created).

    The date and hour of the overdue letter is stored in Z309_DATE_X.

    You can count transaction number "16" in Z309 only if it has been previously activated in ./xxx50/tab/tab_circ_log.eng, col. 2.
