    Description

How should deleted Aleph records which lack a z00p and can't be removed from Primo be handled?

    Resolution

As described in the articles "Removing deleted ALEPH records from Primo" and "Handling deleted Aleph records in Primo" if a situation occurs in which:
      1. the Aleph doc record is deleted (has a "DEL Y" field)
      2. the record is still appearing in Primo, and
      3. there is no longer any z00p for the record
Aleph can't handle the situation very well.  (There is no way to generate a z00p for a deleted record.)

The choices are to run the sort of script described in the "Removing deleted ALEPH records from Primo" or to republish all the records.  (See the article "How to re-publish all Aleph records" in this regard.)
