    Question

    Header of ./xxx01/tab/tab_merge_overlay contains the following note regarding identification of preferred record:
    “when running file-99, file-93, manage-18 and oclc_server with merge_doc_overlay or tab_merge_adv_overlay, the preferred record is the record in the incoming load file.In order to change direction add preferred_doc_switch to tab_preferred; it changes the direction and switches between the preferred and the non-preferred records.”

    Does this apply to Advanced Generic Vendor Records Loader (file-90) also?

    Yes, this is also valid for Advanced Generic Vendor Records Loader (file-90)

    Header of tab_merge_overlay was enhanced accordingly with rep_change 2234 in Aleph 21:

    Description: Header corrections - tab_sip2_sort_bin, tab_merge 1. tab_sip2_sort_bin - The information about the Call-No (col. 8) has been corrected.
    2. tab_merge - The information about the possible calling services has been updated.

    Implementation Notes:
    Synchronize Library headers by performing util/h/2.
