    Description:
When creating a holding record the system automatically fills in GLOBAL in the own field.

What table changes are needed to correct this?

    Resolution:
The system has been configured to insert the staff person's Default OWN ID into the Holdings record. Do this:

    1) Look at this person's User Record in Staff Privileges.
    2) Click on the Modify User button.
    3) See what value they have in their Cat OWN ID field. This should contain their default OWN code.

Note: The Cat OWN Permission field can legitimately have a value of GLOBAL. This means that the person has global permission for all OWN-controlled records, whatever the OWN value.
