    Description:
How can I modify the stop word list?

    Resolution:
In Alephino there is a file with stop word lists (file stopl.kat, directory ../data).
In the standard, the stop word list is used e.g. for the searchable fields "title (keywords)", "subject" and "corporate names".
You may add or remove entries from the standard list or you can assign it to further searchable fields.
If a stop word list is changed after you have already been working with Alephino, it might prior to loading the new list be necessary to delete the old file in the database and to rebuild the indices for the affected search terms:

    1. Load stop word list via Web Service Module / Administration / Load stop words
    - Parameter „File number“:
Enter here the file number of the stop word list. You will find the file number FILE= under *Stop word lists in the section * * Tables and master files in the file marcdata.int, directory ../etc . In the Alephino standard this is the file number 1.
    - Parameter „File to load“:
Enter the path and the name of the stop word list. In the Alephino standard this is../data/stopl.kat.

    2. Delete old index file via Web Service Module / Administration / Delete files
    - Parameter „File number(s)“:
Enter the number of the file(s) that you want to delete. You will find the file number FILE= in the section *Index lists in the file marcdata.int, directory ../etc. In the Alephino standard this is e.g. for the title keywords index the file number 300, for the corpate names index the file number 381 and for the subject topical terms index the file number 450.
If you want to delete more than one file in one step, enter them separated by commas.

    3. Rebuild index via Web Service Module / Administration / Build index
    - Parameter „Master file“:
Enter the name of the master file, that the search term is assigned to.
    - Parameter „Index number(s)“:
Enter here the numbers of the indices thst you want to rebuild. You will find the index numbers INDEX= in the section (titindex) resp. (autindex) and (subindex) in the file marcindex.int, directory ../etc. In the Alephino standard this are e.g. for the title keywords index the index numbers 1-41, for the corpate names index the index numbers 20-26 and for the subject topical terms index the index numbers 80-91.
For huge databases, we recommend to build the indices in several steps, e.g. for the title keywords index 1-11 ? Start, 12-20 ? Start, 21-28 ? Start, 28-41 ? Start.
