Description

How do I set up patron self-registration for Aleph with restful-API?

Resolution

Aleph supports self-registration via a RESTful API per ADM library:

https://developers.exlibrisgroup.com/aleph/apis/Aleph-RESTful-APIs/Patron-Registration/

It is now possible to create a new patron using a new DLF API: <base-URL>/patron. Discovery interfaces can now use the new DLF API to allow patrons to register themselves to Aleph and to receive library services. Self‐registered patrons have permissions according to the library’s policy. If the authentication process is using single sign-on, authentication for Primo is possible as well.
