Question
When searching in a logical base based on a specific sub-library code ADAM objects in this sub-library are not found when there is not also an item record for this sub-library. Search should also point to a record when there is only an ADAM object for a specific sub-library. How to achieve?
Answer
For getting information out of the object record expanded into the bibliographic record do the following changes:
xxx01/tab/tab_expand [Add a line]
WORD expand_doc_bib_z403
xxx01/tab/expand_doc_bib_z403 [New table]
! 2 3 4 5
!-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-!-!!!!!!!!!!-!
# z403-title y space X
# z403-sub-library b space N
# Z403-usage-type t space N
With the above settings a field Z403 will be expanded into the BIB record which holds the object title, sub-library and usage-type and can be used for WORD indexing. In Z403$$b the sub-library code can be found. A record with this expand looks like this:
Reading doc : 000123456
...
Z403 L $$y33.14. Petersen, Poul: Ein føroysk bygd$$bFFFLB$$tVIEW
Adding Z403$$b into tab11_word will create an index entry with the relevant sub-library code in wfi index (so that these records will be found in logical base ffflb):
xxx01/tab/tab11_word
Z403# b 31 WFI
xxx01/tab/tab00.lng
H WFI W-028 31 00 01 Filial
After modifying the table settings ...
- Restart the PC server
- Restart ue_01 daemon
If re-indexing of all older records is necessary you may create a list of all records having objects (using SQL) and use this list as input for "Update Indexes for Selected Records (manage-40)". This input needs to be in "p_ret_01 format". See the article "
Appending library to each line in file of record numbers (make "p_ret_01 format" " in this regard.
