    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20, 21, 22, 23
    • Relevant for Installation Type: Dedicated-Direct, Direct, Local, Total Care

    Description:
    When I enter the GUI it always asks me for my password. I want it to save my password and also have the option to check the box "save password" or not check the box "save password". Currently the box is grayed out and I can not do anything with it.

    Resolution:
    In the file AL500/alephcom/tab/alephcom.ini the following section exists:
    ;SavePassword - Y=Save checkbox is checked, N=Save checkbox is unchecked, X=Save checkbox is disabled
    SavePassword=Y

    If you want to be able to check or uncheck the box put a "Y" or an "N". With an X you will not be able to use the checkbox.
    If you put a "Y" the checkbox will be by default checked. If you put an "N" the checkbox will be by default not checked.

    The passwords of the GUI on the specific PC are saved in encrypted format in the file AL500/alephcom/tab/password.

    Delete this file after changing alephcom.ini (it will then be recreated after entering GUI)

    If you have multiple GUIs installed on your PC, make sure you change the correct alephcom.ini.
