    Question

How to create a list which only contains the HOL record identification number out of the HOL library?

    Answer

The following services have to be started:

    (1) "Retrieve Catalog Records (ret-01)" for selecting the data. Make sure that you are connected to HOL library and not to BIB library.  Besides that only parameter output file has to be filled if you want ALL records to be listed. If only specific records are requested you may select a range of system numbers or select for a specific field.

    (2) "Download Machine-Readable Records (print-03)" for providing the field 001. Add the following parameters:

          Input filei (output of ret-01)

          Output file

Field 1: 001 (if you want more fields to be displayed add them in the following fields. If you want all fields type #####)

          Format: Aleph Sequential

The output file will look like this:

    000000017 001   L $$aMH000000002

    000000018 001   L $$aMH000000005

In addition to the field content you see the system number in column 1 followed by the field and subfieldcode.
