    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 21

    Desired Outcome Goal:
    By mistake, using "Delete Bibliographic Records Including Related ADM/HOL Records (manage-33)" appr. 9000 records have been deleted. All records are still available at a test server.
    What can be done to reload as much information as possible back to production environment?

    Procedure:
    This is the suggested way to reload records from test to production server:

    1) If you have a list of system numbers take these as input file and run "Download Machine-Readable Records (print-03)" on test server with options
    Field 1 + indicator = #####
    Format = Aleph sequential
    2) Copy the output file to production server in library's scratch directory. Run there "Load ALEPH Sequential MARC Records (manage-18)" with the following options
    Procedure to run = Add new records to the database
    Indexing = Full
    Fix Routine = INS

    Please try this first with only few records before you run it for a larger amount of records.
