How to move identical fields to ARC?

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 21
    • Relevant for Installation Type: Dedicated-Direct; Direct; Local; Total Care

    Desired Outcome Goal:
Providing BIB fields to ARC is done using the z13 record (tab22 or tab22_arc). In case you have several identical fields (same field code) only the first one is considered and the other fields get lost. How to move identical fields to ARC?

    Procedure:
Currently Aleph is not designed to move identical fields to ARC meaning for fields added in xxx01/tab/tab22 or xxx01/tab/tab22_arc only the first field occurrence is considered. An according enhancement request was already placed.

    Additional Information

    Workaround:

Using a specific script makes it possible to rename the double fields so that they get own field codes and can be added to tab22 or tab22_arc as single fields. Find an example in attached document.
