    Description:
We wish to populate the Subs. From Date and To Date fields from our serials EDI invoices. I *think* the correct EDI segments are PIA+5S and PIA+5T - is this correct? If so, is it possible for Aleph to receive data in these segments of an EDI invoice and populate the Z75_I_DATE_FROM and Z75_I_DATE_TO fields? What is the correct format of these two fields? We currently use PIA+5 to send the ISSN number, but I am not sure how the PIA+5S/PIA+5T fields should be formatted.

    Resolution:
See KB # 16384-12610 for details on populating the subscription start/end dates into the corresponding z75 record (z75_i_date_from and z74_i_date_to).

Regarding the syntax of the PIA structures, the dates follow the ISBN in the format YYYYMMDD, enclosed in parentheses. For example:

    PIA+5S+0739-6686(20080101)26;1-F:SI'
    PIA+5E+0739-6686(20081231)26;1-F:SI'

This represents a start date of Jan. 1, 2008 and an end date of Dec. 31, 2008. The 0739-6686 is the ISSN. The 26 represents the volume.
